Smoking is not good for your body.
Smoking makes other people dislike you.
Smoking costs alot of money.
Why is it bad for your body?
Why do people dislike smokers?
In this article, we will introduce facts that confirm why people hate smokers.
4 reasons why people hate smokers
１．Smoking has become unpopular
As smoking has decreased popularity world wide, there are even countries where all restaurants with roofs are non-smoking.
Going along with that, the smoking rate of men has recently decreased from 77% in the 1970’s under 50%.
Place where you can smoke in the public have decreased, and separate areas for smokers and non-smokers have become common.
Airplanes and trains have mostly become smoke free, making it a tough age for smokers to enjoy their relaxation time.
The reason why smoking has become so unpopular must be because the public has realized the dangers that lie in the smoke.
２．The harmful effects of cigarrete smoke
Cigarrete smoke occurs from the incomplete combustion of the cigarette. While burning, the cigarette produces carbon monoxide.
When inside the body, carbon monoxide sticks on to hemoglobin 200times stronger than oxygen. Since hemoglobin is supposed to carry oxygen throughout the body, carbon monoxide blocks the flow of oxygen.
Large amounts of carbon monoxide will result in the lack of oxygen which can lead to death.
Although the amount of carbon monoxide taken in by smoking is not fatal, for humans which need oxygen in order for the body to function properly, the negative effects of carbon monoxide are apparent.
Cigarettes also weaken the functions of the throat and nose, allowing viruses to easily enter the body. This causes smokers to easily catch colds.
Smoking also destroys vitamin C, a vitamin necessary for preventing and healing colds and wounds. Even if you ingest loads of vitamin C to help heal a wound, cigarette smoking will take away most of it.
Adding to that, since the blood becomes scarce of oxygen, smoking can affect the healing of rashes, inner bleeding, and blisters.
３．Cigarettes and protein
Smoking can affect many areas of the body more than you think. To fight against these effects, the body uses large amounts of protein.
Even if you take in protein from meals, the effects of smoking will take away all of it. To keep a healthy body, it is necessary to cut back on smoking.
４．Your’e the only one who’s not annoyed by it
The smell of cigarette smoke is easily noticed by anyone.
No matter how strong the ventilation is, it is impossible to keep everyone else from smelling the smoke.
If you look at a smoked cigarette bud, you will notice that it has become brown. Smoking means that your body is an extension of that bud.
The tar inside a cigarette especially effects your teeth, making them a dark yellow color. Continuing smoking can even make you sweat a yellow color.
The smoke from cigarettes contain ammonia, which hurt your eyes and make them red. Don’t forget that cigarettes strongly affect the outside of the body as well as the inside.

・Second hand smoke (alkaline)・・Nicotine, tar, ammonia, carbon monoxide.
・Main stream smoke (acid)・・nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide
